Thanksgiving weekend 09

Carson, Paxton, Samuel, and Halene
Paxton, Auntie Marci and Sam. Paxton doesn't have to do too much growing to catch up with Sam!

Carson helped Halene find all the "girl" colored beads!

No, Carson did not come anywhere close to finishing that turkey leg!

We had a great Thanksgiving this year with lots to be thankful for. We were blessed with a baby boy, Paxton Rhett in September. After a long and hard pregnancy he is here, healthy and happy (most of the time).
Carson started school this fall. He loves it and is excited to go everyday. And every morning can't wait to get to the bus stop to meet up with the other kids. Most of his days are filled with activity after school at the daycare center, where he gets to spend more time with his good buddies. Side note- Now that it's getting much cold in the mornings Carson needs stocking caps boots, mittens, etc. I'm not sure how many hats and mittens we have lost at school already. And the other day we even lost a tennis shoe!!! I told Carson he needs to pay more attention to his things, then his social life! But we are very thankful that he enjoys everyday life as a TKer!
Shane and I feel very blessed this year to be at the same jobs, doing the same things. Despite all the madness of a typical week in our house, we are just THANKFUL!!!!!!

Visitors

We had visitors yesterday. Shane's Uncle Warren and Aunt Barb came to meet Paxton. They brought Paxton a big soft blanket and Carson got Bingo and Barrel of Monkeys. Both were a hit along with Paxton's blanket. I may need to invest in one for Carson...Carson stole it to sleep with last night! Thanks Barb and Warren!!!!

Halloween at the Jagers

Here's some pictures of Halloween at our house. Carson and Shane carved 2 very unique pumpkins again this. I'm not sure who has more fun coming up with what to put on them, Shane or Carson?
Carson basically made his own costume this year. As you can see he went as a ghost and a very scary one at that! Paxton put on the horsey costume just for a picture, but stay in and helped me hand out candy, while Shane and Carson hit the streets for as much candy as Carson could fit in his bucket!
Well, I should go see how much of that candy Carson has devoured....Oh well, that's what Halloween is all about, right?

Almost 8 weeks old!

What a cute little skeleton!

I was putting Paxton in his car seat to leave for daycare the other morning and he was grinning from ear to ear. I ran to get the camera and this was all he had left for me!

First day of daycare

Paxton is ready to go to his first day of daycare. Everything went very well (at least that's what they told me) I didn't even shed a tear when I dropped him off. But I sure did before at 5 am that morning when I was up feeding him!
This is Paxton wearing his "man bra". He is still on the apnea monitor but now only when he sleeps. We have had very few alarms in the last several weeks so we are hopeful that he will not have to be on it much longer.

Will he be an A's fan like his dad? Maybe, if dad can brainwash him....

I guess Paxton's hands were cold.

Baptism

This past Sunday we had Paxton baptized. He did very well- not making one peep. I wanted him to wear Shane's baptism outfit like Carson did, but it was too small for Pax. Oh well...

Eat, poop, and sleep!

I think that torturing of the little brother has begun!

Paxton is growing like crazy and changing everyday. Last night we decided that we had to eat every 2 hours and about 4 oz at a time! Paxton no longer has a whimpy little cry...he wakes up screaming bloody murder until he gets the bottle in his mouth. I'm not sure how many outfit a 4 week old can poop and pee through in a 24 hour period...we will be buying stock in Spray n Wash!

More pictures

Carson is wanting to hold Paxton more now. I afraid on these days I'm going to find him carrying him!!!
Carson got a new winter hat and he has been wearing it to the bus stop in the mornings. It has gotten chilly!!!

Paxton LOVES his bath!!! He really likes having a little water poured over his head...

Paxton Rhett

So sweet...
I think Paxton is trying to kiss him back!

Both of my boys after a bath.

And all 3 of my boys.....

Due to Aunt Brenda's request, I have finally got around to putting some pictures on our blog. Paxton is doing really good and we are even getting some sleep most nights.
I'm not sure if Carson would admit it or not, but, I think he might like Paxton a little...maybe even alot!!!

Bedrest

So I'm only a few days into this "bed rest" thing and going stir crazy. Shane and Carson have been keeping me company this weekend but tomorrow it will be me and the TV again. ugh. Of course all I want to do is eat when I just sit here- which is not a good thing for a pregnant diabetic! Shane did go to McDonald's today and got me a Big Mac. I had not had one in years. Honestly, it was not as good as I remembered.
Shane has been wonderful. He has been getting Carson to daycare and back everyday. He is also trying to get the other bedroom upstairs finished for Carson to move into. I think it needs one more coat of paint and then Gary can come put the windows in this week. (i hope!)
Well, I should get back to my word find book...or maybe Carson will dance for me again. He is pretty good at entertaining me.

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009

We did cut our vacation a few days short because Shane's uncle John De Jong, better known to everyone as Papa John, passed away. Shane was very honored to be asked to be a pallbearer along with Papa John's grandsons. A pretty handsome group of young men with Aunt Leola don't you think?

Linwood Resort

We have had our summer vacation with my family to Lake Osakis, MN. I thought I would share some pictures. Carson had fun fishing (even though he didn't catch anything), swimming, roasting marshmallows and playing bad minton any chance he could. The weather was great! Not too hot and not too cold, which is great when you are about 8 months pregnant!
