Carson had his kindergarden screening this morning. He was very excited about it. When I went to wake him up this morning he said "It's my screening day at the elem. school" He excitedly got dressed and ask if I could put mouse in his hair today. "If I'm going to big boy school I have to look good!"
Anyway, he did very well. And yes, I'm going to brag...the teacher who did the testing said that he got very single letter, lower case and upper case, color and shape correct. Mrs. Schoultens said Carson was one of the best she has seen so far. And that academically he is ready for kindergarden. Wow. Now what do we do? Send him to school everyday all day? Or TK half days? What if he's bored in TK? He will be one of the youngest in his class. Don't get me wrong, as a Mom it makes me very proud, but at the same time it makes for a VERY hard discision. Is the problem that I'm not ready to send my baby off to "big boy school"? No, I will admit that I'm not. And to think it was not that long ago he was learning to walk and talk. Where does the time go? In 5 short months (I hope) I will be starting all of this over again with a new little one.
